The Rescue Mission of Roanoke’s Weblog

The Rescue Mission of Roanoke is hosting a ’Back to School Blast.’  On August 17, 2009 we are giving away school supplies to low income children, as well as haircuts, health screenings, and fingerprintings.

Last year’s Event:

We need help! Would your business, church, community center, or group of friends collect school supplies for the kids?  Just collect supplies and then drop them off at the Rescue Mission in the lobby. Then, we will distribute the pencils, paper, crayons, and everything else at our BACK TO SCHOOL BLAST!

 We need new bookbags, 1″ and 2″ 3-Ring Binders, looseleaf paper, 5-subject notebooks, composition notebooks, calculators, highlighters, colored pencils, compasses, protractors, index cards, blank CDs, Clipboards, crayola markers, graph-paper, pencil pouches, and dividers.
